Open Pollinated was founded to improve the technology landscape in the agriculture industry. Starting with our hands in the dirt, we spent years working on small values-driven farms in the Pacific Northwest, eventually coalescing in the seed business. Seeing the unique and nuanced record-keeping needs of farms and seed companies, and the lack of existing tools tailored to this audience, we set out to develop something better.
What began as incremental improvements to simple spreadsheets evolved into a modern, streamlined database system with more functionality than Excel or Sheets could ever have. We're passionate about data management and optimizing workflows for farmers and seed-folk who deserve to spend less time on admin and more time on the work that matters most to them.
